Establishing of the later cooperative company: Marie Kyselovska, widow from this region brings her flourmill to the company property thus establishing the limited liability company named „Grain store, artistic cylinder mill and bakery“ in Drazice nad Jizerou.

New management headed by Vaclav Cancik changes the company's activities to highly perspective production and distribution of electricity based on the recommendation of Mr. Karel Novak, professor at the Technical Faculty in Prague. In 1910 they built a hydroelectric power plant with two turbines with the output of 300 HP. In 1917 there were 69 villages with 8,111 consumers connected to the Drazice electric plant.

The company reached its best economic success in the second half of twenties in the past century. It had 220 employees and owned 8 hydroelectric power plants situated on the Jizera river, steam-electric power plant, 2 mills and a distribution network with 383 villages and 24,080 users. The turnover in 1930 reached CZK 750,000,000 which is a very good result in comparison to the conditions in this period.

After the forced sale of the distribution networks and subsequent nationalization of a great portion of company's property the company turned its attention to products and services for people with the specialization on household and sport activities.

One of the programs was the custom production of water heaters under the leadership of the former businessman Mr. Krovak.

During 1972 the company finished developing of a combined water heater and its introduction into series production. At the end of eighties the Druzstevni kombinat Drazice company produced about 13,000 combined water heaters per year and employed about 50 employees in this area of production.

After the change of political situation in the Czech Republic in 1989 the cooperative company was divided into separate business companies. One of these companies was the private company named Druzstevni zavody Drazice-strojirna, s.r.o., which took over production of water heaters.

In this period there was an intense development in production of water heaters. The range of products got wider, technologies were modernized and production was increasing continuously. Fundamental modernization was done at the end of 1997 by constructing the new enamelling line. The company became the biggest domestic reseller of water heaters and in 1994 the company started to extend its exporting activities. Today the company exports its products to more than 16 European countries. In 2003 the company produced 95,000 water heaters and employed 190 employees.

In 2004 a new hall was built in preparation for the construction of a new enamel kiln. This kiln was then built in the summer of 2005, which on the one hand allowed to increase the capacity of the enamel plant and on the other to improve the quality of the enamelling process. In 2005 also expanded production range to include storage tanks and at the end of the year was prepared a new type of water heaters with a square design, the D-LUX. Over the past year, the company manufactured 115,000 boilers and employed 210 workers. We are also counting of further growth in production capacity for the future, extension of our product range and modernisation of the current product range.

In the year 2006 came to transmission of 100 % interest of the company Družstevní závody Dražice – strojírna, s. r. o. to Swedish company NIBE Industrier AB, that became the sole owner of DZ Dražice.

The year 2007 – during the summer were 2 production lines extended and the capacity was increased up to 150 000 pcs. DZ Dražice company also started to offer the heating pumps from the NIBE company.
